We have moved to Tororo and fully joined our friends, Jesse and Rachelle Digges, in a ministry called Youth Ablaze. We have a “Missions Base” in the city center Tororo with a House of Prayer and a Bible School. I want to share about our vision as a ministry.
House of Prayer – We have a prayer room which serves the entire community with a neutral, interdenominational meeting place. It’s open for personal prayer from 5am –7pm daily, with at least one staff member leading prayer. We have a “Lunch Hour” prayer meeting every weekday with praise, intercession, and teaching (12:30-2:00pm). There are several schoolchildren and businessmen who attend. One afternoon a month we have a Worship Service on Sundays (3-7pm), and once a month we have an “Overnight” prayer meeting (6pm-6am). People come from
all over the city to join in these times of corporate worship and prayer.
Bible School –We have a 2-Year Discipleship school which trains native East Africans to be missionaries. Then we raise sponsorships and send them out as full time missionaries to a neighboring unreached people group. We have about 10 graduates on the field right now, and hope to place another 3-5 this year. We would like to see these bases multiplied all over East Africa and thousands of native missionaries trained and sent out.
Outreaches – Our students have weekly community service activities, serving at local orphanages. We also have weekly evengelism outreaches. At the end of every term, we go on a 1-2 week outreach to an area where the gospel hasn’t reached and partner with a local church. Please follow this link to read about a recent outreach I helped lead to an unreached people group:
